Kindergarten Facilities

Bridge Road’s early learning space is specifically designed to improve your child’s learning and well-being. Here are some of our thoughtful spaces that your child (and you!) will love.

Outdoor Play Space

Herb gardens, a mini animal farm, and a worm shelter – our outdoor play space is ideal for children to explore, wonder, and choose their adventure! Bridge Road ELC is the only early learning space in the city with a ground-floor outdoor yard, connecting your child to nature in a unique way.

Community Library

Just around the corner from our early learning space is a quaint community library with books and resources for families and children. Bridge Road ELC is a strong advocate for reading, as research shows it to have a positive impact on a child’s language and literacy. We encourage our parents to borrow age-appropriate books from the library and use them to supplement our own well-stocked library.

Nutritious, Yummy Food Your Child Will Love

Healthy, nutritious meals are essential for your child’s growth and well-being. Our carefully planned 4-week rotating menu is designed in consultation with Australia’s Healthy Eating Advisory Service to give your child a balanced and delicious variety of meals.

From breakfast to supper, we provide wholesome, delicious options throughout the day. Our dedicated in-house chef takes special care to accommodate all dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences so every child feels safe, included, and well-nourished.

Bullen Bullen Room (0-2 Years)

Bullen Bullen means lyrebird. It is our nursery made for children aged 0 to 2 years. With soft, safe toys, a separate play area, and plenty of natural lighting, it’s the perfect space for your baby to discover the world through their senses. There’s space to crawl, explore, and rest with cosy cots, a sensory play area, outdoor access, and special corners for art, culture, family, and early literacy.

Babies who can sit, crawl, or climb will love our cushy pillows, low tables, and dangling mobiles, which play a significant role in developing their fine motor skills.

Yiagaith Room (2-3 Years)

Yiagaith means seekers. The Yiagaith room is purpose-built for adventurous 2 to 3-year-olds who are beginning to explore life as they know it – filled with interactions, opportunities, and big emotions!

This room supports our curious toddlers with plenty of books, toys, and playdough. It features a toddler-sized kitchen set, group time area, art gallery wall, and access to both indoor and outdoor play and dining areas.

The Yiagaith room is set up with plenty of role play and creative lessons, allowing your child to express themselves in a healthy and safe way. This room is where first friendships and earliest memories are made.

Bagunga and Kumbrook Room (3 & 4 Years Old)

Bigger rooms where ‘serious’ play happens. Bagunga Kertheba means to grow together, and Kurnbrook means flower.

These combined rooms are full of energy and imagination, supporting both learning and play. With group time spots, a playdough area, a Kimochi wall, building blocks and magnets table, arts and science supplies, and a literacy learning area, children grow and thrive together every day.

Our Bagunga and Kumbrook rooms are made for children who desire to be ‘big kids’. With curricula such as inquiry-based learning and the Reggio Emilia approach, we acknowledge each child’s individual interests and aim to develop their motor and physical skills during this crucial developmental stage.
