Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
Parents at Bridge Road ELC are eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS). It is a subsidy that the Australian government provides to parents, which will be paid directly to us. This subsidy will be deducted directly from your child care fees.
CSS Subsidy Amount
The amount of subsidy you get depends on the following factors:
- Your combined family income
- The number of children you have in child care and their ages
- How much ‘recognised’ activity you and your partner undertake each fortnight
- The type of child care you use (different childcare services have varying hourly rate caps)
- If you have an Aboriginal child or a Torres Strait Islander child
From 10 July 2023, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are eligible to receive at least 36 hours of subsidy per fortnight for each child attending childcare. This is calculated regardless of their activity hours.

Free Kinder
Bridge Road ELC is part of the Victorian government’s Free Kinder and offers subsidies for our 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten programs. If your child is enrolled in our childcare centre, the Kindergarten and Free Kinder offset is included as part of our long day care program, and you will receive a rebate
Free Kinder Eligibility
The Free Kinder program is available to parents regardless of their income level, and families do not need a Health Care Card or Pension Card to be eligible for this funding. You will be able to claim your Free Kinder offset on top of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) at Bridge Road ELC. This rebate will be deducted directly from your annual school fees.
With Free Kinder, you can offset up to $2101 per year (or $50 per week) on your childcare fees. This means that your child can access our high-quality kindergarten programs run by experienced educators at an affordable rate.
